Why Van Besouw is different
Not a catalogue of carpet. A house of textiles.
Van Besouw began in 1839 as a weaver of jute. Today the same company knits, tufts and weaves carpet in Genemuiden, the carpet capital of the Netherlands — in small series, on its own looms, with yarns chosen for how they feel underfoot.
Every quality carries a number, not a marketing name. 3801, the knitted cotton classic. 2605, the deep tufted Soft. 4403, wool and goat hair. The number is the design.
